Hydraulic cylinder glands.
What is a gland in a hydraulic cylinder ? A hydraulic cylinder gland is one of the most important structural components of any cylinder. Its primary function is to seal the space between the piston rod and the cylinder barrel, as well as to protect the interior of the cylinder from external contamination. In practice, the gland is responsible for maintaining working pressure in the system and preventing hydraulic oil leaks. Thanks to it, the cylinder can operate with high precision and in difficult conditions – without the risk of pressure loss and premature wear of moving parts.
