M33x1.5 Thread – characteristics
The M33x1.5 thread is a metric fine thread with a nominal diameter of 33 mm and a thread pitch of 1.5 mm. These types of threads are used in precision connections where high tightness and mechanical stability are required, while maintaining the possibility of easy assembly and disassembly of elements.
M33x1.5 threads are characterized by high resistance to axial loads and twisting moments, which is why they are widely used in power hydraulics – especially in connections of hoses and couplings with high flows. Their fine pitch allows for a better fit of elements, which is important for connections requiring oil tightness or operation under high pressure.
Application of M33x1.5 thread:
-
connections in high-pressure hydraulic hoses,
-
elements of industrial and agricultural machinery,
-
hydraulic valves and distributors,
-
adapters and reducing fittings,
-
hose ends with external or internal thread.
This thread often occurs in DKOS 24° (DIN 2353) connectors and in metric–inch connectors used in hydraulic systems. Thanks to the fine pitch (1.5 mm), it ensures excellent tightening torque control and minimal risk of leakage.
Technical parameters of M33x1.5 thread:
-
Thread type: metric fine, compliant with ISO 261 / DIN 13,
-
Outer diameter: 33.00 mm,
-
Pitch: 1.5 mm,
-
Minor thread (core diameter): approx. 31.2 mm,
-
Major thread (outer diameter): 32.9 mm,
-
Profile angle: 60°,
-
Type of connection: most often metal–metal seal or with an O-ring.
The M33x1.5 thread is one of the more popular solutions in industrial hydraulics, ensuring durability, reliability, and compatibility with a wide range of connectors available in the Hydron offer.
