M30x2 Thread – characteristics and application

M30x2 thread is a precision metric thread with an outer diameter of 30 mm and a pitch of 2 mm, commonly used in power hydraulic systems, pneumatics and in mechanical constructions requiring high connection strength. It is a thread with a larger pitch compared to M30x1.5, which means that with each rotation the bolt moves by 2 mm – this translates into faster assembly and greater resistance to dirt and mechanical damage.

Threads with a pitch of 2 mm are used where robustness and vibration resistance matter, rather than precise adjustment. In hydraulic systems, M30x2 thread is often found in high-pressure fittings, hose ends, actuator connections and valves, especially in the case of larger hose diameters.
