What is 37° hydraulic pipe flaring ? 

Hydraulic pipe flaring, also known as 37° pipe flaring, is a precise process of preparing the pipe end for a leak-proof connection with hydraulic components. It is an essential step in the assembly of rigid lines in power hydraulic systems, especially in systems using JIC / UNF type connectors (American thread).

Why is pipe flaring so important ?  

To achieve a tight and durable connection, the end of the pipe must be properly formed — flared at a 37° angle. This allows it to be connected to the JIC connector, which has a 37° cone at the end.
