Plates for pipe and cable clamps – lower weldable plates and upper cover plates DIN 3015
The category of pipe clamp plates in the HYDRON online store includes steel structural elements that form the base and closure of mounting systems for precision pipes, flexible hydraulic hoses, and technical cables. The plates are manufactured in accordance with the recognized European industrial standard DIN 3015 and are divided into lower weldable plates and upper cover plates. They are an indispensable part of a complete pipe clamp, providing a rigid connection of polypropylene inserts to the machine frame or supporting structure. Thanks to precise workmanship and repeatable dimensions in individual DIN 3015 size groups, the plates in our offer allow for reliable mounting of power hydraulic installations in construction machinery, agricultural machinery, municipal vehicles, and stationary production lines exposed to high pressures and intense vibrations.
Types of clamp plates in the HYDRON offer
Depending on the assembly method, clamp type, and environmental conditions, our range includes a full range of plates for single and double clamps:
- Short and extended lower weldable plates: Plates designed for direct welding to the steel structural elements of the machine. Extended versions have additional holes allowing the plate to be bolted to the substrate using bolts.
- Upper cover plates: Closing fastening elements placed on the plastic clamp inserts, which, under the influence of tightening the bolts, evenly press the body against the fixed pipe or hose.
- Multi-position and double plates: Dedicated to the parallel routing of two or more cables on one base, which facilitates the organization of complex hydraulic lines.
- Acid-resistant execution made of AISI 316 stainless steel: Upper and lower plates manufactured from 1.4571 / AISI 316 stainless steel, dedicated to aggressive environments, the chemical and food industries, and marine applications.
Materials and surface protections
The durability of the pipe connection depends on the resistance of the components to corrosion and mechanical loads. HYDRON offers plates with various surface finishes:
- Phosphated steel: Standard finish for lower weldable plates, facilitating the welding process and ensuring excellent adhesion of subsequent paint coatings.
- Galvanized steel: Durable anti-corrosion protection used mainly on upper cover plates, protecting the element against moisture and atmospheric factors.
- AISI 316 stainless steel: The highest protection against corrosion in conditions of constant contact with salt water, acids, or disinfectants.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why are lower weldable plates usually phosphated and not galvanized?
Phosphating protects the steel from corrosion during storage, while not interfering with the welding process. Galvanizing a steel plate during welding would release toxic fumes and cause weld spatter, which is why phosphated or raw versions are used under welds.
How to choose the correct plate size for my clamp?
Plates are selected according to the size group of the DIN 3015 standard (from group 1 to group 6 for the light/single or double series). Just check the group designation on the polypropylene insert or measure the spacing of the mounting bolt holes.
