Hydraulic pump fitting

A hydraulic pump fitting is a mounting element that is used to connect the hydraulic pump with other parts of the hydraulic system, such as lines or tanks. The fitting is usually made of metal and has appropriate threads or connectors, allowing a secure and tight connection. Its task is to ensure the flow of hydraulic fluid between the pump and the rest of the system, while maintaining appropriate pressure and preventing leaks. Hydraulic fittings can come in various variants, depending on the type of pump and the specifications of the hydraulic system. The most common are fittings with metric or inch threads, which are adapted to the standards of hydraulic installations.

Hydraulic pump connector

A hydraulic pump connector is used to connect the pump with a hose or a hydraulic installation. The HYDRON store offers straight and elbow connections in various thread sizes and flange spacings. When choosing a connector, one should first of all check the type of thread, the hole spacing or flange dimension, the hose diameter and the way of routing the hose. A straight connection will work well where the hose can come out directly from the pump, while the elbow version facilitates assembly in a limited space and allows changing the direction of the hose.

An incorrectly selected connector may cause leaks, installation problems or restrict the oil flow. It is best to provide the pump model, thread size and mounting spacing. You can also send a photo of the old connection with dimensions.

Hydraulic pump adapter

A hydraulic pump adapter, also known as a flange connection, is an element that allows a secure and tight connection of the hydraulic pump with the rest of the system. Thanks to its precise construction and durable materials, it is an essential link in systems where reliability, resistance to high pressures and long-term operation count. The offer of the company Hydron includes flange connections for pumps in many variants, which allow adjusting the appropriate solution to a specific pump model and type of installation. Adapters available in our store are made of high-quality carbon steel protected with a layer of zinc, which ensures resistance to corrosion and harsh working conditions. For applications requiring even greater resistance, we also offer versions made of stainless steel and aluminum, which perform well in environments with increased humidity or in contact with aggressive external factors. Each hydraulic pump adapter has a solid flange mounting that guarantees connection stability and eliminates the risk of leaks even at working pressures reaching 315 bar. Thanks to precise manufacturing, all elements are perfectly fitted, which significantly facilitates assembly and subsequent servicing of the system.

Application of flange connections for hydraulic pumps

Flange connections are used in a wide range of hydraulic applications – from simple industrial systems to advanced systems in construction and agricultural machinery. They are used, among others, in excavators, loaders, hydraulic presses, production lines, as well as in mobile hydraulic equipment, where reliability and durability are crucial. Thanks to their design, they enable quick assembly of the pump and a reliable connection with hoses or hydraulic directional valves, maintaining full system tightness even under high dynamic load conditions.

A rich offer of adapters

In the Hydron store, we offer a wide selection of flange connections for hydraulic pumps in various sizes and configurations. Both straight and 90° elbow adapters are available, which allows for flexible adaptation to the specifics of the assembly. Depending on the customer's needs, it is possible to choose a version with an inch (BSP) or metric thread, which guarantees compatibility with most pumps and hydraulic systems available on the market. Each connection set is supplied with a set of bolts, washers and seals, making it ready for immediate assembly.

Hydraulic pump flange

A hydraulic pump flange is a flat plate (or an element with a milled seat), mounted to the pump body, equipped with bolt holes and a seal (e.g., an o-ring). The flange provides a direct, tight connection of the pump with the hydraulic system (e.g., with a hose, tube, fitting), without the need to use long threaded hoses. The construction of a flange connection usually consists of the following elements: a mating surface, a sealing seat (e.g., a groove for an o-ring), a clamping element or clamp, and mounting bolts. The advantage of a flange is the possibility of a compact and strong connection, especially at high pressure and with system vibrations — a flanged connection better withstands dynamic loads and also reduces the risk of leakage compared to a threaded connection alone. In the Hydron offer (flange connections for pumps), the proposed flanges can have various standards and sizes, adapted to pumps and systems — which allows choosing the right pump connection plate for a specific system.

Hydraulic pump flange

A hydraulic pump flange is basically another name for a flange – that is, an element connecting the pump with hoses or other components of the hydraulic system using mating surfaces and bolts. One can speak of a „pump flange” as a connection plate that becomes an interface between the pump and the rest of the installation. Flanges are used especially in the case of pumps with flange connections — the Hydron offer includes exactly such flanges / flange connections for hydraulic pumps, which enable simple assembly and replacement of connectors. Flanges can have different bolt hole patterns, through diameters and sealing standards (e.g., metric, BSP, ISO/SAE standards) — which enables flexibility in adapting to pumps from different manufacturers.

Hydraulic pump mounting

Hydraulic pump mounting is the method of physically attaching the pump to the structure of the machine or drive unit — so that it is stable, properly oriented and resistant to vibrations or dynamic forces. The mounting includes both the attachment of the flange / collar to the hydraulic system and the load-bearing part that mechanically holds the pump. Several aspects of mounting: Mounting plate / bracket: the pump can be mounted on a special mounting plate (e.g., foot, frame), which transmits driving forces and ensures shaft alignment. Mounting set (bolts, washers, centering sleeves): mounting bolts, washers and possible centering sleeves are supplied to the collar or flange to ensure precise fit and elimination of assembly stresses. Pilot (centering socket): often the flange has a pilot part (elevation or keyway), which is inserted into the pump or housing socket — which ensures precise geometric alignment and vibration reduction. Vibration protection: the mounting should be rigid, but can be designed to reduce the transmission of vibrations to the pump, e.g., by using flexible mounting elements or damping materials.

Hydraulic pump fitting

A hydraulic pump fitting is a connector that enables a safe and tight connection of hydraulic hoses to the pump. In power hydraulics, it is of key importance because not only the efficiency of the system, but also the durability of the entire installation depends on its quality and fit. A fitting is a special element attached to the hydraulic pump body, which forms a transition between the pump and the hose (most often a flexible hydraulic hose or a pipe). Thanks to it, the transport of hydraulic oil under high pressure is possible. Fittings come in many thread and shape variants, depending on the type of pump and installation.

Types of fittings used in hydraulic pumps

  • Threaded fittings – with metric, inch (BSP, NPT, UNF) or specialized threads.

  • Flange fittings – used for larger diameters and higher pressures, ensuring a solid and stable connection.

  • Rectangular / bolt-on fittings – popular in pumps with SAE or ISO ports.

  • Special fittings – e.g., rotary, 45° and 90° elbow, facilitating the routing of hoses in hard-to-reach places.

Application of fittings in power hydraulic systems

Hydraulic pump fittings are used wherever the pump pumps oil into the installation. Typical applications include:

  • agricultural machinery (tractors, combine harvesters, loaders),

  • construction machinery (excavators, loaders, bulldozers),

  • industrial machinery and production lines,

  • hydraulic presses, injection molding machines, machine tools.
