Hydraulic control valve operated by levers 40 l/min – efficiency and precision

Monoblock control valves with a nominal flow of 40 l/min are among the most popular control units in medium-power hydraulic systems. These devices were designed for users of agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, where high stability of operation is required while maintaining compact block dimensions. Manual control via levers allows for intuitive and smooth management of the movement of cylinders and hydraulic motors, providing the operator with full control over the technical process.

Technical characteristics and construction

The offered 40 l/min units feature bodies made of high-quality spheroidal cast iron, which guarantees their exceptional resistance to material fatigue during frequent operating pressure spikes (up to 250 bar in ports P, A, and B). Thanks to precise spool grinding, these valves are distinguished by low internal leakage levels, which translates into high energy efficiency of the entire system. The devices are compatible with a wide range of hydraulic oils (HLP, HVLP), working efficiently in temperatures ranging from -20°C to +80°C.

To ensure long-term durability of the spool mechanism, care must be taken to maintain a high cleanliness class of the working medium. We recommend using efficient hydraulic filters on the return line, which effectively protect the internal surfaces of the control valve against solid contaminants. Standard BSPP connections allow for trouble-free installation using certified hydraulic fittings, ensuring full tightness of connections even under high load.

Why choose our solutions?

Our 40 l/min control valves are professional-grade components that meet rigorous machinery standards. Each block is equipped with an integrated relief valve, which protects the system against uncontrolled pressure increases, ensuring the safety of the machine's operation. It is worth emphasizing that the monoblock design significantly facilitates installation in limited assembly space, and the universality of the connections allows for easy replacement of worn-out units from other manufacturers. We offer our customers full technical support and access to an extensive base of maintenance services, which guarantees the efficient functioning of the hydraulics for a long time.

FAQ – maintenance and operation

1. Is a 40 l/min control valve suitable for a gear pump with higher capacity? This is not recommended. Exceeding the nominal flow of the control valve causes excessive pressure losses due to throttling, which leads to oil overheating and loss of efficiency of the entire system. In such a case, we recommend choosing a model with a higher nominal flow.

2. How to correctly adjust the relief valve in the control valve? Adjustment should be made using an external pressure gauge connected to the supply line. The adjustment screw should be set to the operating pressure value required by the actuator, remembering not to exceed the maximum value specified for the hydraulic pump.

3. What is the most common cause of leaks under the lever? The most common cause is the penetration of solid contaminants (dust, sand) into the vicinity of the spool seals, which leads to their premature wear. If a leak is detected, please contact our service for professional verification and regeneration of the device.
