Description
Suction-delivery hose FI51x63 for fuel and oil
Suction-delivery hose FI51x63 is an industrial rubber hose designed for suction and delivery of fuels, gasoline, diesel, and petroleum products. The inner diameter is 50.8 mm (2"), and the outer diameter is 63 mm. The hose is suitable for a working pressure of 10 bar and a vacuum of up to -0.92 bar. The inner layer of NBR rubber provides resistance to appropriate fuels and oils, while the textile braids and steel spiral reinforce the structure during operation. The hose also features a copper wire for dissipating electrostatic charges. The operating temperature range is from -30°C to +70°C.

Application of the fuel and oil hose
The FI51x63 hose is designed for the transport of petroleum products, including gasoline, diesel, and appropriately selected industrial oils. The suction-delivery construction allows the hose to be used on the suction and discharge sides of pumping systems. It is suitable for handling installations, fuel pumping systems, industrial tanks, and petroleum product distribution installations.
The hose can transport appropriate petroleum products with an aromatic content of up to 50%. When conveying special fuels or chemical mixtures, the resistance of the material to the specific medium must be additionally verified. The nominal diameter of 2" allows the hose to be used in installations with flow rates appropriately matched to the pump's capacity and the hose length.
NBR rubber and suction-delivery construction
The inner layer of the hose is made of NBR nitrile rubber, resistant to appropriately selected fuels and mineral oils. The reinforcement consists of two textile braids and a steel wire spiral. The braids are responsible for transferring pressure loads, and the steel spiral helps maintain the hose's cross-section during liquid suction.
The hose can operate at a maximum working pressure of 10 bar and a vacuum of up to -0.92 bar. The burst pressure is 30 bar and is a strength parameter, not the permissible operating pressure. The outer rubber layer provides protection against abrasion, oils, ozone, and atmospheric factors.
Copper wire and static electricity protection
The hose construction uses a copper wire for dissipating electrostatic charges. This is significant during fuel transport, where the flow of the medium can cause electric charge build-up. The correct operation of this solution requires a proper electrical connection and checking conductivity continuity in the finished assembly. In explosion-hazard installations, additional confirmation of compliance with relevant safety requirements is necessary.
Operating temperature and installation conditions
The permissible operating temperature range of the FI51x63 hose is from -30°C to +70°C. When selecting the hose, both the temperature of the transported fuel or oil and the ambient conditions should be taken into account. Operation outside the specified range may adversely affect the durability of the rubber and the safety of the installation.
The minimum bending radius is 250 mm. The hose should be routed without excessive bending, twisting, or tension. For installation, use fittings and fasteners suitable for the hose diameter, working pressure, and transported medium. When making fuel connections, requirements for tightness and electrical continuity should also be considered.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Is the FI51x63 hose suitable for gasoline and diesel?
Yes. The hose is designed for the transport of appropriate fuels and petroleum products, including gasoline and diesel. For unusual mixtures, the compatibility of the medium with NBR rubber should be confirmed.
Can the hose be used for fuel suction?
Yes. The hose has a suction-delivery construction with a steel spiral and is suitable for a vacuum of up to -0.92 bar.
What is the maximum operating temperature of the hose?
The maximum operating temperature is +70°C. The full operating temperature range is -30°C to +70°C.
What is the purpose of the copper wire in the fuel hose?
The wire allows for the dissipation of electrostatic charges once a proper electrical connection is made. The finished assembly should have verified electrical continuity.
