What are cartridge valves ?

Cartridge valves are compact and extremely versatile components used in power hydraulic systems. Thanks to their modular design, they enable easy integration into systems, providing precise control of flow, pressure, and the direction of the hydraulic medium. These types of valves are mounted directly in construction cavities, which saves space and simplifies the entire system.

Types of cartridge valves

1. Counterbalance valves:They maintain stability and control the movement of loaded cylinders or hydraulic motors, preventing uncontrolled descent.

2. Relief valves:They regulate the pressure in the hydraulic system, protecting against exceeding maximum values.

3. Pressure reducing valves:They are used to lower pressure in specific parts of the hydraulic system.

4. Sequence valves:They ensure the sequence of operation of individual elements of the hydraulic system.

5. Flow control valves:They control the flow rate of the working fluid in the hydraulic system.

6. Flow divider valves:They divide the flow of hydraulic fluid into two or more independent circuits.

7. Check valves:They allow fluid flow in only one direction, blocking backflow.

8. Direct-acting solenoid valves:They control the fluid flow via direct action of an electromagnet.

9. Proportional valves:They enable precise control of flow or pressure, responding to electrical signals.

10. Logic valves:They are used to implement logical control functions in hydraulic systems.

11. Other valves:Specialized solutions tailored to unique needs of hydraulic applications.

12. Cartridge hand pumps:Devices for manually generating pressure in hydraulic systems.

13. Pneumatically controlled hydraulic valves:They control the fluid flow using pneumatic control signals.

14. Cartridge valves – stainless steel version:Valves made of corrosion-resistant materials for operation in difficult conditions.

15. Electric valves with ATEX:Valves designed for operation in explosive zones, compliant with ATEX certification.

16. Cartridge valve cavity plugs:Elements used to protect unused valve cavities in hydraulic manifolds.

Characteristics of cartridge valves

Cartridge valves available at the Hydron store are distinguished by excellent quality and durability, which makes them a reliable choice for the most demanding applications. Their key features include: Compact dimensions – enabling installation in places with limited space. Modular design – ease of adaptation to various hydraulic systems. High efficiency – precise control and rapid response to changes in operating parameters. Resistance to difficult operating conditions – made of materials resistant to high pressures, temperatures, and external factors. Simple operation and replacement – thanks to their modular design, cartridge valves can be quickly replaced or maintained, minimizing downtime.

Application of cartridge valves

Cartridge valves are used in a wide range of industries where reliable solutions for controlling hydraulic parameters are required. Typical areas of use include: Industrial machinery – production lines, hydraulic presses, internal transport equipment. Construction machinery – excavators, loaders, cranes, and other construction equipment. Specialized vehicles – agricultural machinery, forklifts, municipal vehicles. Automation systems – wherever precision control is of key importance.
