Hydraulic solenoid valves
A two-way hydraulic valve is one of the basic components used in power hydraulic systems. Its main task is to control the flow of the working fluid in two directions, so it allows hydraulic oil to flow both one way and the opposite way – depending on the needs of the system.
What is a two-way hydraulic valve ?
A two-way valve is a valve with two ports (inlet and outlet) through which liquid can flow. Unlike one-way valves (e.g., check valves), a two-way valve does not block flow in either direction – its operation is symmetrical. These types of valves do not control the direction of flow, but allow it to flow freely in both directions, unless they are equipped with regulation functions, such as throttling.
Types of two-way valves
Two-way valves can be divided into, among others: 1) Two-way ball valves – simple design, mainly used as shut-off valves. 2) Throttling valves two-way – allow flow regulation in both directions. 3) Two-way proportional valves – advanced valves allowing precise flow control. 4) Two-way logic valves – used in systems where pressure or flow control based on a logical condition is required.
Application of two-way valves
Two-way valves are used wherever free flow of the medium in both directions is required – most commonly in:
-
double-acting hydraulic cylinders,
-
closed systems,
-
circuits where it is necessary to shut off the flow regardless of the direction,
-
systems that require flow regulation in both directions.
