Description

BSP (AGR) 1 1/4" Plug with socket

The BSP (AGR) 1 1/4" Plug with socket is a steel hydraulic component designed for plugging compatible ports with female threads. It features a male cylindrical BSP thread in size 1 1/4" and an internal 60° sealing cone. The socket design allows for installation and removal of the plug using a properly selected tool.

The plug is made of free-cutting steel, and its surface is protected with zinc plating and white passivation. The working pressure is 160 bar, while the operating temperature range covers from -20°C to +120°C. The product belongs to the group of 34.75 type hydraulic plugs, defined as Male Plug - Thread BSP Parallel.

Application of the BSP AGR plug in power hydraulics

The BSP AGR 1 1/4" plug is used for closing appropriately selected hydraulic connections equipped with a BSP female thread. It can be used during installation assembly, component replacement, maintenance work, and for blanking off unused threaded ends.

The male thread allows the plug to be fixed in a compatible connection. When selecting, the thread size, its cylindrical design, and the sealing method should be verified. Thread matching alone does not guarantee correct closure of every type of connection.

Male BSP 1 1/4" cylindrical thread

The plug is equipped with a male cylindrical BSP thread in size 1 1/4". The outer diameter of the thread is 41.5-41.9 mm, while the inner diameter is in the range of 39.0-39.5 mm. The thread is intended for use with a corresponding end equipped with a female thread.

The cylindrical BSP thread should not be confused with a tapered thread or other types of connections used in power hydraulics. Before installation, check the compatibility of both connection elements.

60° internal cone – sealing design

The AGR plug has an internal conical surface with a 60° angle. It is designed to work with a properly matched sealing surface of the second connection element. Correct geometry matching is important for achieving tightness.

During assembly, attention should be paid to the cleanliness and condition of the conical surfaces. Mechanical damage, deformation, and contamination can cause leaks, even if the threads of both elements are the correct size.

Working pressure 160 bar

The BSP AGR 1 1/4" plug has a declared working pressure of 160 bar. This parameter should be considered when selecting the plug for a hydraulic system, especially when the component is to remain installed during system operation.

The permissible pressure of the complete connection also depends on the parameters of the mating connection and other system components. Before use, ensure that the entire connection system meets the required operating conditions.

Operating temperature from -20°C to +120°C

The operating temperature range of the plug is from -20°C to +120°C. This parameter defines the temperature range specified for the product and should be considered when selecting hydraulic fitting components.

Usage conditions should be considered for the complete connection, also taking into account the limitations of the mating elements.

Free-cutting steel and zinc plating with white passivation

The plug is made of free-cutting steel. The product surface has been protected with a layer of zinc plating with white passivation, serving as protection against corrosion.

Steel construction and galvanic surface protection are important design features of the product. When choosing it, consider the system's operating environment and the requirements for the materials used.

Socket – assembly and disassembly

The plug is equipped with a socket, which allows for tightening and loosening with a properly selected tool. This solution facilitates connection handling during assembly and service work.

Before installation, clean the connection, check the condition of the threads and sealing surfaces. Tightening should be carried out according to the requirements of the connection system used. After installing the plug, check the tightness of the closure.

Catalog designations Rastelli-Raccordi, Vitillo and Cast

The BSP AGR 1 1/4" plug has catalog designations that allow for product identification when comparing technical documentation. The Rastelli-Raccordi catalog indicates the designation 34.75.00.20, the Vitillo catalog ATMG20, and the Cast catalog 307808.

Catalog designations are helpful when searching for spare parts and completing hydraulic fittings. Before using a product from another manufacturer, confirm the compatibility of its design, thread, sealing surface, and operating parameters.

Selection of BSP AGR 1 1/4" plug for hydraulic connection

When selecting the plug, consider the male BSP 1 1/4" thread, 60° internal cone, 160 bar working pressure, and operating temperature from -20°C to +120°C. It is also important to match the sealing design to the mating connection.

BSP threaded plugs can come in various designs, so do not be guided solely by the thread size. A correctly selected element should correspond to both the dimensions and technical requirements of the specific hydraulic connection.
