The BSP DKR 1.1/2" cap is a sealing element designed to secure hydraulic systems on an externally threaded end. It has been designed for permanent or temporary closure of the working fluid flow in hoses and rigid pipelines. The construction with a swivel nut and an internal 60° sealing cone guarantees full connection tightness at high operating pressures. The product is widely used in construction and agricultural machinery, as well as in stationary industrial installations. Being made of carbon steel with a galvanic coating, the element is protected against corrosion and the impact of harsh environmental conditions.

Application and technical characteristics

The DKR BSP 1.1/2" plug is screwed directly onto the BSP (G 1.1/2") external thread with a male sealing cone. Sealing occurs by pressing the internal cone against the seat of the male element, which eliminates the need for additional tape or adhesive sealants. This component is characterized by very good mechanical resistance and resistance to pressure fatigue occurring during hydraulic fluid pulsation.

How to correctly tighten the BSP DKR 1.1/2" cap?

The cap should first be hand-screwed onto the external thread until clear resistance from the sealing cone is felt. Then, using an open-end or torque wrench, tighten the nut by the recommended tightening angle or with the appropriate torque specified for the 1.1/2" BSP size. This prevents damage to the cone and guarantees full metal-to-metal tightness.

Does the DKR cap require the use of Teflon tape or thread glue?

No. The DKR series plug uses a conical seal (60° cone). The connection becomes tight as a result of pressing the conical surfaces of the nut and the nipple. Adding Teflon tape or anaerobic glues to the thread is an assembly error that can prevent the proper seating of the cone and lead to leaks.

Can the plug be used to permanently disable a section of the system?

Yes. The construction of high-grade galvanized steel and the resistance to a constant working pressure of 130 bar make this element suitable for both temporary protection during maintenance work and for permanent plugging of unused ports or fluid lines in the hydraulic installation.
