The VULCAN DN50 1SN hydraulic hose is a conduit with a single steel braid for transporting hydraulic oil in installations operating at elevated temperatures. The nominal diameter DN50 corresponds to the size of 2 inches, and the maximum working pressure is 40 bar. The special high-temperature construction allows for operation from -40°C to +135°C, intermittently up to +150°C. Application for hot hydraulic oil

The VULCAN DN50 1SN hose is primarily intended for the transmission of hydraulic oil, also in systems where elevated medium temperatures occur. The large nominal diameter is suitable for return lines and connections of hydraulic power units, tanks, and industrial devices, as long as the pressure and operating conditions are within permissible limits. It can be used in agricultural machinery, construction equipment, and industrial installations. Selection for a specific oil should be confirmed based on its properties and the hose manufacturer's requirements.

1SN construction with one steel braid

The synthetic rubber core constitutes the layer in contact with the oil. A single steel wire braid is responsible for pressure resistance, and the rubber outer cover protects the construction against environmental factors. The 1SN single-braid hose is intended for different loads than 2SN double-braid conduits. The peak temperature does not mean approval for constant operation at +150°C. In installations with hot oil, both the medium temperature and external conditions must be taken into account. It is also necessary to check the resistance of seals, fittings, and the permissible pressure for the complete assembly.

The nominal internal diameter DN50 corresponds to a 2-inch connection, and the outer diameter of the VULCAN version is 63.5 mm. The minimum bending radius is 630 mm. It should be maintained during assembly, avoiding sharp bends, twisting of the conduit, and stress at the fittings. Too small a bending radius can cause damage to the layers and shorten the life of the conduit.

Crimping the hydraulic conduit
