The 4SP DN40 (1.1/2") hydraulic hose is a high-performance, large-diameter conduit designed for operation in the most demanding power hydraulic systems with high flow rates. Thanks to its solid construction based on four tightly wound steel wire spirals, this hose provides exceptional resistance to dynamic loads and hydraulic shocks while maintaining an operating pressure of 185 bar. It is an industrial-grade component, essential in installations where maximum medium throughput is required.

The inner layer made of oil-resistant synthetic rubber (NBR) guarantees full compatibility with most hydraulic fluids, while the reinforced outer coating effectively protects the structure against abrasion and adverse weather conditions. Installation of a hose with such a large diameter requires precise skiving of the outer rubber layer, which allows for secure crimping of dedicated crimping sleeves directly onto the steel braid. Does the 4SP DN40 hose require skiving?
Yes, due to the spiral construction, it is necessary to remove the outer layer of rubber at the crimping point to ensure direct metal-to-metal contact with the steel braid.

Is a 40 mm diameter hose flexible enough?
4SP DN40 hoses are designed as rigid conduits, dedicated to feeding main lines. The minimum bend radius for this model is 500 mm.
