Plug-in caps for Tekalan
Plug-in caps designed for capping TEKALAN pneumatic lines. Caps designed for lines: PA-polyamide, PU-polyurethane, PE-polyethylene, made of PVC-polyvinyl chloride. Cap for TEKALAN tubing. Pneumatic line caps. Pneumatic push-in fittings including, among others, caps are used in: pneumatic workshop systems, pneumatic systems in devices and machinery, pneumatic systems for trucks, supply systems for certain types of internal combustion engines, pneumatics for machinery and equipment in tire workshops
TEKALAN line plug - installation
Cap installation instructions : The cut, squared, and non-flattened end of the line with a diameter matching the size of the fitting should be inserted into the hole and pressed in until resistance is felt. Removing the line is possible after pressing and holding the ring located around the line.
Tekalan hose plugs
Tekalan hose plugs are key components used in pneumatic systems that provide protection against contaminants, mechanical damage, and air leakage. Thanks to them, pneumatic systems maintain full efficiency, even in difficult operating conditions. These products are made of durable materials that guarantee high resistance to pressure and varying temperatures, making them an excellent solution for diverse applications. The plugs offered by Hydron stand out for their precise workmanship, which ensures a perfect fit for Tekalan hoses. Their design minimizes the risk of leakage, allowing for safe and efficient system operation. The materials used in the production of the plugs are characterized by high resistance to external factors such as moisture, oils, or chemical substances. As a result, the plugs are reliable in long-term operation.
Application of Tekalan plugs
Tekalan hose plugs are used in pneumatic systems in industry, workshops, and in heavy-duty and agricultural vehicles. They serve for temporary or permanent closure of hose ends, which allows for protection of the system's interior from dirt and ensures its proper operation. They are also indispensable during the storage or transport of hoses, protecting them from damage.

Pneumatic cap
A pneumatic cap is a small but extremely important element used in compressed air installations. Its task is to permanently or temporarily close the ends of lines, fittings, or installation components. This protects the system from air leakage, contamination, moisture, and accidental entry of foreign bodies. Caps are used both in new systems during assembly and during servicing, pressure tests, or pneumatic system modifications. At Hydron, various types of caps are available, designed for Tekalan lines and for quick-connect couplings, allowing the right solution to be matched to a specific system.
Application of caps in pneumatic systems
A pneumatic cap finds application in many branches of industry, automotive workshops, production machinery systems, and automation installations. It is used wherever maintaining tightness is a condition for the correct operation of the system. Caps are particularly useful during system modernization when part of the lines is not yet active or in situations where it is necessary to secure an unused branch. They are also used in pressure tests to close part of the system and check the tightness of the remaining circuits. In Tekalan lines, they perform a protective and technical function, preventing damage to the line end during transport or assembly.
Types of caps in the Hydron offer
Hydron's range includes different types of pneumatic caps adapted to Tekalan lines and fittings. The first group consists of plug-in plugs mounted directly in the fitting. This is a practical solution that allows for quick closure of the connection without interfering with the line. The second group consists of caps mounted on the end of a Tekalan hose. This type of element is placed directly on the line, which protects it from damage and from contaminants entering the interior of the installation. Both types perform a protective function, but the choice of the appropriate variant depends on the system design and the method of routing the lines.
Why other elements are also referred to as caps
In service and workshop practice, the term cap refers not only to typical plug-in plugs or line covers, but also to elements whose primary function is to close the circuit or secure the ends of the installation. This category also includes caps placed on Tekalan hoses available at Hydron. Although technically these are separate product groups, their common purpose is to isolate the ends of the installation, maintain cleanliness, and protect against uncontrolled outflow of the medium. In everyday use, all these elements play a protective role, hence the common use of one term.
Materials and durability of pneumatic caps
Pneumatic caps used in Tekalan systems are made of durable plastics with high mechanical resistance and resistance to temperature changes. The material used for their production ensures flexibility and appropriate hardness, thanks to which the cap maintains its shape and tightness even after repeated assembly and disassembly. In industrial installations, such elements are extremely important because maintaining the cleanliness and tightness of the lines is crucial for the system's lifespan and the proper operation of pneumatic devices.
Selection of the appropriate pneumatic cap
When selecting a cap, the diameter of the line or fitting, the type of installation, the working pressure, and environmental conditions must be taken into account. Tekalan caps available at Hydron are offered in various diameters, which allows them to be matched to lines used in pneumatic systems of heavy-duty vehicles, industrial machines, or automation systems. In the case of unused sections of lines mounted in mobile machines, it is recommended to use caps placed on the hose, whereas where the connection itself needs to be secured – a plug-in plug is sufficient.
