Pressure tests - hydrostatic testing
Our company is equipped with a table for hydrostatic pressure testing of hose tightness. At the customer's request, after crimping the hose, we can check the tightness and strength of the finished crimped hose. We also have the capability to perform tightness tests on hoses with various connections, with operating pressures ranging from 100 to 2500 bar. The medium used for testing is a water-oil emulsion with an anti-corrosion protection additive. Incorrectly crimped hydraulic hoses can cause serious damage, resulting in high costs. By testing the quality of hoses, failures and their associated costs can be avoided. After performing the test, a Pressure Test Certificate is issued. More about pressure testing
Pressure testing of hydraulic hoses
Pressure testing of hydraulic hoses is an extremely important process that allows for checking the strength and tightness of hoses used in power hydraulics systems. Its purpose is to ensure the safety and reliability of the entire hydraulic system, especially in applications where hoses are exposed to extreme working conditions such as high pressures, vibrations, or variable temperatures.
What is pressure testing ?
Pressure testing is a test involving subjecting a hydraulic hose to pressure significantly higher than the maximum pressure the hose will have to withstand during daily operation. Such a test allows for the identification of any manufacturing defects, wear, or other damages that could lead to failures or dangerous situations during use. The test is able to show us whether the hose has been correctly crimped. The testing process is carried out in specialized equipment ( testing tables for hydraulic hoses ), which allow for precise pressure control. During the trial, the behavior of the hose and its connections is observed, and the test results are documented and provided to the customer in the form of a report.
Why is it worth testing hydraulic hoses ?
-
Ensuring safety
A hydraulic hose failure can lead to serious machine damage, work downtime, and even a threat to the health and life of operators. Pressure testing allows for the elimination of risks associated with malfunctioning components. -
Extending the service life of hydraulic systems
Regular testing of hydraulic hoses allows for the detection of minor damages that can be repaired before they lead to more serious problems. Thanks to this, costly repairs can be avoided and the service life of the entire system can be extended. -
Compliance with standards and regulations
In many industries, pressure testing of hydraulic hoses is required by law or safety standards. Hoses must comply with relevant technical standards, which is confirmed by a certificate issued after the test. -
Trust of customers and users
Hydraulic hoses that have passed pressure tests are evidence of the quality and reliability of the manufacturer or supplier. This is a key element in building trust in business relationships.
How does the pressure testing process work ?
The pressure testing process carried out at HYDRON includes:
- Hose preparation – the hose is thoroughly checked for visible damage.
- Connection to the testing device – the hose is mounted in a special test stand that allows for precise pressure control.
- Pressure application – the hose is tested under conditions corresponding to the maximum operating load, taking into account relevant standards (e.g., PN-EN 853).
- Documentation of results – the customer receives a test report confirming compliance with standards and indicating requirements fulfillment.
Why choose HYDRON for pressure testing ?
At HYDRON, we provide professional hydraulic hose pressure testing services. Our technical facilities, experience, and team of experts guarantee that every hose will be tested according to the highest quality and safety standards. We use advanced testing devices that allow for precise and reliable trials. We invite you to contact us and take advantage of our pressure testing offer. With us, you will be sure that your hydraulic hoses are ready to work in the most demanding conditions.

Hydraulic hose testing
We have a modern stand for testing the pressure of hydraulic hoses. We perform pressure tests on a modern SAMWAY T250 pressure testing table. The research stand allows for testing hoses and hydraulic connectors under operating conditions (working conditions) without the need to mount them on the target machine.
Equipment and parameters of the test table :
- test pressure : from 0 to 2500 bar
- simultaneous number of tested hoses : 2
- test fluid : distilled water
- pressure release : manual
- testing : manual ( turning a lever )
- pressure indicator : pressure gauge
- opening cover protection : manual
What are testing tables used for ?
Test tables allow for safe and quick verification of the quality and correctness of the crimping performed (correct hose clamping) and checking the strength of hydraulic hoses. The table can be used, among others, for quality and strength control of new solutions, conducting tests according to standards :
- ISO 6802 Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies with wire reinforcements
- Hydraulic impulse test with Fleming; ISO 6803 Rubber or plastics hoses and hose assemblies
- Hydraulic–pressure impulse test without Fleming; ISO 8032 Rubber and plastics hose assemblies
- Flexing combined with hydraulic impulse test (half–omega test)
Hose testing offer :
HYDRON performs hydraulic hose testing according to PN-G-32010:2012, PN-EN ISO 1402:2010 and PN-EN ISO 4671:2008 in the following scope:
- checking the basic dimensions of hydraulic hoses and marking,
- checking the tightness of hydraulic hoses,
- testing under proof pressure,
- checking the strength of hydraulic hoses,
- burst pressure testing.
