What is hydraulic hose skiving

Internal and external skiving of hydraulic hoses are processes that prepare the hose for proper crimping. External skiving involves removing the outer rubber layer to expose the hose braid and allow better adhesion of the ferrule. Internal skiving while internal skiving removes the inner rubber layer, which is necessary in some applications to ensure better medium flow or improve the quality of the connection between the fitting and the hose. Both processes guarantee the tightness and durability of the assembly.
