TEKALAN shut-off ball valve

Valves for compressed air pneumatic installations. Shut-off ball valve. These types of valves are designed for quick shut-off of compressed air - just turn the valve. Valve in the form of a quick coupler (with Tekalan-type push-in connections. ) Valves designed for all types of calibrated Tekalan hoses: PA-polyamide, PU-polyurethane, PE-polyethylene, PVC-polyvinyl chloride. Our range also includes vented ball valves and steel ball valves with female threads.

Air shut-off valve — what is it and what is it used for ?

An air shut-off valve, often made in a ball design (shut-off ball valve), is a pneumatic fitting element that allows for quick and tight shut-off of compressed air flow in the system. This enables the safe shutdown of a specific section of the installation for maintenance or repairs without having to turn off the entire system. Typical ball valve operates by turning the lever 90°, which positions the hole in the ball in the open (flow) or closed (blockage) position. The advantage of this solution is simplicity, effectiveness and very fast flow closure

What are shut-off ball valves ?

Shut-off ball valves are a fundamental element of any pneumatic installation, allowing for precise and rapid air flow shut-off in a selected section of the system. Thanks to their simple yet reliable construction, they are not only durable but also easy to operate. Using a ball mechanism rotating around an axis allows for instant flow closure, guaranteeing tightness even at high pressures.

Characteristics of shut-off ball valves

Shut-off ball valves available in the Hydron range are characterized by high quality of workmanship, meeting rigorous technical standards. Materials resistant to corrosion and external factors, such as brass, stainless steel or plastics, are used for their production. Their compact design enables easy installation even in hard-to-reach places. Additionally, the offered models vary in bore diameter and connection type, allowing them to be matched to various pneumatic systems.

Comparison with other shut-off valves

In the category of shut-off valves you will also find other solutions, such as vented shut-off valves. Unlike ball valves, these models offer an additional venting function, enabling effective evacuation of air from the installation after the flow is closed. Ball valves focus on simple and fast flow shut-off, making them a more universal choice for standard applications.

Shut-off ball valves for water and air

Hydron also offers specialized shut-off ball valves dedicated to water and air, which you can find in our category of shut-off ball valves. These products combine excellent tightness and durability, allowing for their use in hydraulic and pneumatic installations. Additionally, our range includes mini ball valves, which, thanks to their compact dimensions, are perfect for places with limited space.

Application of shut-off ball valves

Shut-off ball valves are used in various industries where air flow management is essential, such as industry, mechanical workshops, pneumatic tool systems or production lines. Due to their versatility, they can be used in installations with diverse operating parameters, making them an indispensable element of any pneumatic infrastructure.
