Description
PTFE Hose DN25 smooth acid-resistant teflon hose 80 bar
The smooth PTFE hose DN25 is a high-class Teflon hose designed for operation in the most demanding industrial conditions, where standard hoses do not provide adequate chemical and temperature resistance. The acid-resistant hose made of PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) is characterized by excellent resistance to practically all chemicals and solvents used, making it suitable for installations transporting aggressive media. This material is resistant to UV radiation, oxygen, ozone, and light, allowing for its long-term use even in difficult environmental conditions. Additionally, a very low friction coefficient, ranging from 0.02 to 0.2, ensures minimal flow resistance and limits the deposition of contaminants inside the hose. In practice, the PTFE hose is used together with installation elements such as hydraulic hoses and hydraulic fittings, where the tightness and material resistance of the entire system are key.
Acid-resistant hose
An acid-resistant hose made of PTFE is a solution designed for working with aggressive chemical media, where standard hoses undergo degradation. Thanks to its unique material resistance, the Teflon hose can be used to transport acids, bases, solvents, and other chemical substances without the risk of reacting with the material. In industrial installations, the acid-resistant hose works with many system elements, such as hydraulic hoses, hydraulic fittings, quick couplings, industrial fittings, and technological installation elements, creating a safe and durable system resistant to extreme working conditions. In practice, these types of hoses are used wherever maximum chemical resistance and reliability of the entire transfer system are required.
Construction and properties of the PTFE hose
The DN25 Teflon hose has a smooth internal structure that ensures very good flow properties and limits pressure losses. The standard version includes a cover in the form of a single AISI 304 stainless steel braid, which is responsible for reinforcing the hose structure and increasing its resistance to mechanical damage and working pressure. The combination of the PTFE layer and the steel braid creates a highly durable hose that can operate in a wide temperature range and under varying loads. The hose does not react with the transported media, making it an ideal solution for installations requiring high purity and chemical stability.
Application of PTFE acid-resistant hoses
The PTFE DN25 hose is used wherever aggressive media and high requirements regarding chemical and temperature resistance occur. The hose is used for the transfer of steam, adhesives, paints, solvents, oils, fuels, dyes, as well as chemical and food substances. Due to its versatility, it is used in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and food industries, and in technological installations. In many cases, it is the only safe solution for transporting substances that could damage standard rubber or plastic hoses.
Temperature range and working conditions
The PTFE DN25 hose is adapted to operate in a very wide temperature range from -60°C to +260°C, which allows for its use in both low-temperature and high-temperature installations. However, it should be remembered that at operating temperatures above 120°C, the maximum working pressure should be reduced by 1% for each additional degree of temperature. This is an important operational parameter that affects the safety and durability of the entire system.
How to select a PTFE hose for an installation
Selecting a hose PTFE should take into account the type of medium being transported, the working temperature, and the required working pressure. In the case of DN25 hoses, it is crucial to properly match the diameter to the flow and use the correct fittings to ensure system tightness. In industrial installations, Teflon hoses are used wherever maximum chemical resistance and stability of operating parameters are required.
