Mining hoses - with mining approval
Hydraulic hoses for mining are specialized products designed for operation in extreme conditions typical of the extractive industry. They are characterized by exceptional resistance to high pressures, harsh environmental conditions, and mechanical damage. Their construction based on multi-layer reinforcement ensures reliability, which is crucial in hydraulic systems used in mines and extraction plants. These hoses are used in various equipment used in mining, such as: hydraulic systems of extraction machinery, hydraulic lifts and winches, transport equipment and belt conveyors, control systems and hydraulic drives in mining. Advantages of hydraulic hoses for mining: durability: Suitable for operation in extreme conditions, including high pressures and heavy loads; resistance to external factors: They protect against abrasion, chemicals, and harsh weather conditions; longevity: Multi-layer construction ensuring a long service life; safety: Compliance with standards for the mining industry, guaranteeing reliable operation in critical applications.
Mining hoses as a special category
Hoses with mining approval - this is a special category of hoses that are approved for operation in machinery and equipment working in mining. Hoses of this type must have a special certificate issued by a dedicated office ( a different approving body in each country ). Product compliance: Hydraulic lines meet the requirements set out in the Regulation of the Minister of Economy of June 28, 2002, regarding health and safety at work, operation, and specialized fire protection in underground mining plants with subsequent amendments. (Journal of Laws 2006 No. 124 item 863; Journal of Laws 2010 No. 126 item 855) If there are no requirements for using mining hoses, these hoses can be replaced with regular 4SP hoses
Application of mining hoses in machinery, installations, and auxiliary systems
Mining hoses are used not only in the main hydraulic systems of machines but also in auxiliary systems. They are used in lubrication, cooling, power supply for hydraulic tools, and in systems for transporting technological media. The versatility and durability of these lines allow them to be used in many areas of mine infrastructure.

MSHA – hoses in high-risk environments
The MSHA designation on hydraulic hoses indicates that the product meets the requirements of the Mine Safety and Health Administration regarding fire resistance and behavior in contact with flame. In practice, this means that the hydraulic hose does not support combustion after the fire source is removed, which significantly reduces the risk of fire in systems working with hydraulic oil. MSHA-approved hydraulic hoses are designed for operation in environments with an increased fire hazard, such as underground mining, open-pit mines, tunnels, heavy industry plants, and machinery operating at high temperatures. In such conditions, even a small hydraulic oil leak can pose a real threat to people and equipment, which is why the fire resistance of the hose is crucial for the safety of the entire system. It is worth emphasizing that MSHA does not replace European standards, such as EN 853, EN 856, or ISO 18752, but supplements them. High-quality hydraulic hoses often meet both pressure and construction parameter requirements, as well as have MSHA certification confirming their fire resistance. Information about MSHA approval is usually found directly on the hose or in the manufacturer's technical documentation. Using MSHA-certified hydraulic hoses is a real increase in system safety, reduction of downtime risk, and better protection for employees. In systems where safety is of primary importance, choosing hoses that meet MSHA requirements is a conscious and responsible technical decision.
