PVC SUCTION AND DELIVERY HOSES

Suction hoses for pumps, tanker trucks

Suction-delivery hoses made of PVC. These types of hoses are mainly intended for transferring water, feces, and all other types of sludge. Hoses are sold by the meter. In some situations, it is possible to use another suction-delivery hose >  for fuel gasoline oil. Hose mounting using GBS bolt clamps. The hose has a smooth inner surface. The outer surface of hoses from size 50 and up is slightly corrugated ( wavy ). Hydron offers a wide selection of PVC suction-delivery hoses with various diameters and lengths, allowing the product to be tailored to individual needs. All hoses comply with the highest quality standards and have the required certificates. We support our customers at every stage of the purchase, offering professional advice and fast order fulfillment. Order slurry hoses today. We invite you to familiarize yourself with our offer of PVC suction-delivery hoses.  You will find durable and reliable products that will meet your expectations, regardless of the application.

Slurry hoses

PVC suction-delivery hoses, also known as slurry hoses, are a key element in many branches of industry, agriculture, and municipal services. They are distinguished by high durability, flexibility, and resistance to various chemicals, making them an ideal solution for transferring liquids, liquid manure, sludge, and other media. PVC suction-delivery hoses are designed for both suction and delivery of liquids. Thanks to their construction and the materials used, they are characterized by: High flexibility, even at low temperatures. Odresistance to abrasion, allowing for work in difficult conditions. High chemical resistance, making them suitable for working with various media, including water, sewage, fertilizers, and liquid manure. Lightness and ease of handling, which facilitates their transport and use.

Applications of PVC suction-delivery hoses :

  • Slurry removal – including waste and liquid manure discharge.
  • Municipal works, e.g., cleaning septic tanks and reservoirs.
  • Industrial delivery and suction installations.
  • Irrigation systems in agriculture.

Technical parameters of slurry hoses :

  • hose operating temperature : from -15°C to +60°C
  • construction : wall made of plasticized PVC, helix made of hard PVC.
  • hose color : dark green, white helix
  • minimum bending radius: inner diameter x 5
  • original coils are available in lengths of 30 m

Spiro hoses and their parameters

Several basic variants of spiro hoses are available on the market, differing in material, diameter, and purpose. The most common are PVC hoses for water, hoses for sludge, and industrial hoses with increased resistance to mechanical damage. An important parameter is the inner diameter, which affects the installation capacity, as well as the wall thickness and type of helix. In industrial applications, models with greater rigidity are often used, while in agriculture and gardening, lighter versions dominate. Selection of the appropriate variant should be correlated with the used elements of the installation, such as hydraulic fittings or hydraulic quick couplers, which must be compatible with the diameter and type of the hose.

Hose for a slurry tanker

Does the hose for the slurry tanker crack under negative pressure or collapse during suction? This is the most common problem when working with tanker trucks and results directly from the wrong choice of hose construction.

Hydraulic lines without silicone content (LABS-free / PWIS-free)

At HYDRON we also offer hydraulic hoses and industrial lines available with a LABS-free / PWIS-free (Silicone-Free) declaration. This solution is intended for industries where even trace amounts of silicone can negatively affect painting processes and coating quality. If you want to find out what the LABS-free standard is, when it is required, and how to order lines with appropriate documentation.

Why an ordinary hose does not withstand work in a slurry tanker

During tank emptying, the slurry tanker works in suction mode, i.e., it generates negative pressure. A standard rubber or thin-walled PVC hose does not have the proper rigidity and starts to collapse. In practice, this means a drop in efficiency, intermittent work, and a risk of permanent damage to the installation. Therefore, PVC suction-delivery hoses reinforced with a helix are used. The helix functions as reinforcement maintains the hose cross-section even under high negative pressure.

What determines the real work efficiency

Hose diameter has a direct impact on flow. Too small a diameter causes flow throttling and extends the tank emptying time. Too large a diameter increases weight and makes it harder to operate the hose.

In practice, the selection looks like this:

  • for smaller slurry tankers, DN50–DN75
  • is used, for larger installations it is worth going for DN100 and more

The second parameter is the bending radius. Too stiff a hose makes work difficult for the operator and causes stress on the connections.

How to build a complete working system

The hose itself is just one element. For the installation to work smoothly, you need the right connections. To connect the hose it is worth choosing GEKA claw couplings, which allow for quick and tight connection of lines in field conditions. This solution works particularly well where you often reconnect the installation. If the line works in difficult conditions, e.g., dragged on the ground or exposed to abrasion, protection is necessary. In such cases,  spiral guards for hoses, which protect the line from mechanical damage, work well. For stable mounting of the entire system, clamps and cable ties, which prevent the line from slipping off the fittings.

Errors that lead to failure during the season

The most common error is using delivery hoses instead of suction-delivery hoses. In theory „they will last”, but in practice they will collapse at the first significant negative pressure. The second problem is a mismatch of diameter to the pump. Too small a cross-section causes system overload and increases equipment wear. The third error is the lack of mechanical protection. A hose working in the field without a guard wears out very quickly.

How it looks in practice for users

In a well-selected system, the hose does not change its cross-section, the flow is stable, and the pump works without overloads. The operator does not fight with a heavy, stiff line and does not waste time on corrections. The result is shorter working time, less equipment wear, and no downtime during the season.
