Compression ring for tube

Hardened and galvanized cutting rings for hydraulic tubes. Manufactured according to the PN-65/M-73137 standard. The connection principle is based on the partial insertion (pressing) of the cutting ring into the outer surface of the pipe by tightening the nut. We also offer hydraulic pipes and nuts for cutting rings. 

Application of cutting rings 

Cutting rings are extremely important components used in power hydraulics, especially in seamless pipe connections (pipe connections). The task of the rings is to ensure the tightness and durability of connections in hydraulic systems operating under high pressure, even up to several hundred bar. Thanks to the use of cutting rings, it is possible to precisely and reliably connect pipes without the need for welding. Cutting rings enable the connection of hydraulic tubes (pipe lines). 

Selection of cutting rings

The cutting ring is selected for a specific dimension of the hydraulic tube and so the outer diameter of the tube equals the tube dimension of the cutting ring. For a 10mm outer diameter tube, we must select a cutting ring for a 10mm tube ( 10L or 10S ) For the complete set, you select in the same way a union nut for the ring and a hydraulic fitting. If we have selected the appropriate elements, we can screw them together and obtain a durable high-pressure pipe connection. 

How do cutting rings work?

The cutting ring is an element that, when tightening the fitting, cuts into the surface of the pipe, creating a durable mechanical connection and tightness of the hydraulic system. This process prevents accidental disconnection of elements and minimizes the risk of leaks, which is particularly important in demanding industrial applications.

Installation of cutting rings 

Cutting rings are a key element in hydraulic systems, ensuring the tightness and durability of pipe connections. Their installation can be carried out independently (cutting ring installation instructions), using basic tools, or use a dedicated device for installing cutting rings. Both methods are effective, however, the choice of the appropriate one depends on the needs and the scale of work.

Sizes of cutting rings 

Cutting rings are available in the following sizes: 4mm, 5mm, 6mm, 8mm, 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 15mm, 16mm, 18mm, 20mm, 22mm, 25mm, 28mm, 30mm, 35mm, 38mm, 42 mm. Each of these sizes is adapted to the appropriate outer diameter of the hydraulic tube, which ensures a precise and durable connection
