DKJ plug - with UNF internal thread

Blanking plug for external thread JIC ( UNF ). DKJ plugs are designed for blanking fittings and hose ends with external threads e.g. AGJ hose end The blanking plug enables tight sealing of ends and fittings with JIC ( UNF ) external thread. The plug has a cone identical to that of UNF ends. These types of elements are used, among others, when it is necessary to block the flow in the hydraulic system, in the event of a hose burst, etc. We also offer JIC (UNF) external thread plugs. Execution : free-cutting steel, galvanized. Our offer includes all types of plugs and caps for every type of thread. DKJ plugs are protective elements used in hydraulic systems that protect against contamination and, above all, against leakage of the working medium. Thanks to precision manufacturing and the use of high-quality materials, these plugs guarantee tightness and long-term protection of hydraulic installations. They are compatible with DKJ thread systems (DKJ - JIC 37°). The use of a precise JIC 37° thread allows for easy assembly and disassembly, while eliminating the risk of leaks. High quality of workmanship and compliance with industry standards guarantee reliability even in the most demanding working conditions. DKJ plugs are available in various sizes, which allows for matching to a wide spectrum of applications.

Application of DKJ blanking plugs

DKJ plugs are widely used in various industrial sectors, such as power hydraulics, automotive, construction industry, or agriculture. They are used to protect hydraulic systems during transport, storage, and servicing. They protect hoses and fasteners against the ingress of dirt, moisture, and other contaminants that can negatively affect system efficiency. Additionally, DKJ plugs are an essential element in the preventive protection of systems against uncontrolled hydraulic oil leakage.

DKJ plugs for JIC hydraulic connectors

DKJ plugs are used to close and secure corresponding connections used in power hydraulics systems. They are designed to work with JIC type connections, where tightness is achieved on a 37° conical surface. They allow blanking an unused port or installation termination during construction, modernization, and servicing of hydraulic systems.

A correctly selected DKJ plug allows for safe closing of the corresponding connection and protection of the installation against dirt. When choosing, pay attention to the UNF thread size and the element's compatibility with the JIC connection geometry.

What are DKJ plugs used for?

DKJ plugs are used to close free JIC connections in hydraulic installations. They can be used both as a permanent element and during service work when a given point of the system remains temporarily unused.

Using the correct plug allows for maintaining order in the installation and protecting the open connection against contaminants entering the inside of the hydraulic system.

DKJ and the JIC 37° standard

JIC connections use UNF threads and sealing on 37° metal conical surfaces. For this reason, when choosing a plug, one should not be guided solely by the thread diameter. Proper matching of the mating surfaces is also essential.

JIC is not the same standard as ORFS, BSP, or NPT. Individual systems differ in thread geometry and sealing method, so plugs should be selected for the specific type of connection.

Where are DKJ plugs used?

  • in power hydraulic systems,
  • in mobile hydraulics,
  • in agricultural and construction machinery,
  • in industrial equipment,
  • during installation repairs and modernizations,
  • for closing unused JIC connections.

How to choose the right DKJ plug?

Before buying, identify the connection as JIC and determine its size. It is worth checking the UNF thread designation and verifying the conical surface mating with the plug.

  • check the JIC connection standard,
  • determine the UNF thread size,
  • verify the 37° sealing cone,
  • match the plug to the correct connection size,
  • check the technical parameters of the specific variant,
  • inspect the condition of the sealing surfaces before assembly.

Plugs and caps for power hydraulics

Different connection standards may occur in one installation, so the DKJ plug should be used only where the connection is made in the JIC system. Attempting to use an element from another standard may lead to improper fit or leakage problems.

If you need other variants, also check hydraulic plugs and caps and other hydraulic fittings available at HYDRON.

FAQ - DKJ plugs

What is a DKJ plug used for?

It is used to close the corresponding JIC connection in a hydraulic system.

How is a JIC connection sealed?

JIC uses 37° metal conical surfaces, which form a tight connection when properly matched.

Can DKJ be used instead of an ORFS plug?

No. JIC and ORFS are different connection standards and use different sealing methods.

How to choose the DKJ plug size?

You should identify the JIC connection and UNF thread size, then select the corresponding plug variant.
