Straight inch-metric connectors

Inch-metric reduction ( inch-metric nipple )

The category contains all types of straight connectors for screwing into pumps, directional control valves, cylinders and other elements. On the connection side, inch threads (BSP) commonly known as British threads. On the hose side, a metric thread with a 24-degree cone. Connectors marked as ED include a rubber seal on the connection side. The ED seal is a special and fitted square-section seal that seals the screwed connection - thanks to it, we do not need to use any other washers. This category covers straight version connections, we also offer angular connections called elbow connectors, which perform the same function

What is a straight connector and what is it used for ?

A straight connector is a type of high-pressure hydraulic connector used to connect a hydraulic hose to another element of the hydraulic system, e.g. a cylinder, a pump, a directional control valve. Thanks to its simple construction, it allows for a quick and tight connection of components, without changing the direction of the working fluid flow.

Where are hydraulic connections used ?

Straight connectors are widely used in power hydraulics, pneumatics and the machinery industry, where a solid and durable connection of system components is essential. In particular, they are used in: Hydraulic systems of industrial machines and equipment, mobile hydraulic systems, e.g. in agricultural and construction machinery, oil and pneumatic installations, hydraulic services and workshops, where quick matching of different threads and diameters is necessary.

Straight reduction connection

What is a reduction connection – inch-metric thread reduction ? A reduction connection, also known as an inch-metric thread reduction, is a special type of hydraulic fitting that allows connecting hydraulic system elements with BSP inch and metric threads. This solution is used in power hydraulics when components made according to different thread standards must work together in one system.

Technical parameters of the connections :

  • connection type : straight connection
  • thread on the connection side ( to be screwed into the block etc. ) : British BSP inch
  • thread on the hose side : metric thread
  • execution : free-cutting steel covered with zinc plating protecting against corrosion.
  • alternative name of the connector : Straight Connector XGE TN92GG
  • purpose : connection to another element of the hydraulic system.

Inch to metric threads

Inch to metric threads are a solution used in power hydraulics wherever it is necessary to connect elements made in different thread standards. In practice, this applies to the installation, service and modernization of hydraulic systems where components with BSP inch threads and connector elements equipped with metric threadsmeet. Straight BSP M inch-metric connectors allow such a connection to be made in a safe and tight manner, without the need to rework the existing installation. The use of inch to metric threads is particularly important in imported machines, older hydraulic systems and in situations where new metric standard elements are selected for an existing installation. A properly selected connector allows maintaining compatibility between different thread standards and reduces the risk of leaks resulting from incorrect matching.

Straight connections in the inch-metric version

Straight inch-metric connectors offered in this category are designed to work in demanding power hydraulic conditions. Precision thread manufacturing, proper sealing surface geometry and materials adapted to high operating pressures make the inch-to-metric thread connections durable and stable over a long period of operation.
