Description
Straight connector MM BSP 3/4" stainless steel 1.4571
Straight connector MM BSP 3/4" made of stainless steel 1.4571 is a hydraulic fitting with two identical 3/4" BSP external threads. It is designed for making straight connections between system components equipped with compatible internal BSP ports.
The body is made of 1.4571 stainless steel, corresponding to AISI 316Ti. Such material is particularly useful in systems operating in humid, industrial environments or where increased material resistance to corrosion is required. The connector utilizes a 60° sealing cone and is designed for use in hydraulic systems.
Technical parameters of the MM BSP 3/4" connector
- product type: straight hydraulic connector MM,
- thread 1: external BSP 3/4",
- thread 2: external BSP 3/4",
- external diameter of 3/4" BSP thread: approx. 26,1-26,4 mm,
- internal diameter of 3/4" BSP thread: approx. 24,1-24,5 mm,
- sealing cone angle: 60°,
- working pressure: 250 bar,
- working temperature: from -20°C to +120°C,
- material: stainless steel 1.4571,
- material equivalent: AISI 316Ti,
- manufacturing standard: BS5200 / ISO 8434-6,
- medium indicated for the product: hydraulic oil,
- purpose: connecting hydraulic elements with 3/4" BSP ports.
Two identical 3/4" BSP external threads
Unlike reducing connectors, this model has the identical size on both sides. A 3/4" BSP thread is present at both the first and second end of the body.
The connector is therefore used to make a straight connection between two components equipped with appropriately selected internal 3/4" BSP ports. This design is commonly used during the construction and modernization of power hydraulics systems.
1.4571 stainless steel for demanding working conditions
The most important feature of this variant is the use of 1.4571 stainless steel. This is a material corresponding to AISI 316Ti grade, containing a titanium addition that stabilizes the steel structure.
In practice, this means greater material resistance compared to typical free-cutting steel connectors protected by zinc plating. For this reason, stainless hydraulic connectors are chosen, among others, for devices operating in humid environments, industrial installations, and applications where corrosion resistance is of particular importance.
60° sealing cone
The connector has a 60° sealing cone. When assembling the connection, attention should therefore be paid not only to the 3/4" BSP thread size itself, but also to the geometry of the sealing surface of the mating component.
This is important because thread diameter compatibility does not always mean compatibility of the entire connection system. In pressure hydraulics, the correct selection of the cone and thread standard has a direct impact on the tightness of the installation.
How to identify a 3/4" BSP thread?
The 3/4" BSP designation is a nominal value and does not mean an actual diameter of 19,05 mm. The HYDRON product sheet specifies for this size an external diameter of approx. 26,1-26,4 mm.
Therefore, if a thread measurement with a caliper gives a value close to 26,3 mm, it may indicate 3/4" BSP. However, for final identification, the thread pitch and its standard should also be checked.
Working pressure 250 bar
The permissible working pressure specified for this connector is 250 bar. This parameter must be taken into account when designing and modernizing a complete hydraulic system.
The operating pressure of the entire installation is always limited by its weakest element. Therefore, in addition to the connector, the parameters of the crimped hydraulic hoses, fittings, valves, quick couplers, and other components must also be verified.
Working temperature from -20°C to +120°C
The operating temperature range specified for the product is from -20°C to +120°C. Hydraulic oil is the indicated medium.
In a practical installation, however, the limitations of the entire system must always be taken into account, including the hose material, the seals used, and the properties of the working medium.
Application of the 3/4" BSP stainless connector
The simple design, two identical connections, and stainless steel construction mean that the connector can be used in many hydraulic systems requiring a durable connection in the BSP standard.
- power hydraulics,
- industrial machinery,
- devices operating in humid environments,
- agricultural and orchard machinery,
- construction machinery,
- forestry machinery,
- technological installations,
- repairs and modernizations of hydraulic systems.
When is it worth choosing the stainless version?
A stainless connector is particularly justified when a standard steel version might be too susceptible to the influence of the working environment. This applies, among others, to devices exposed to moisture, frequent washing, weather conditions, or more aggressive industrial surroundings.
However, this does not mean that stainless steel automatically provides a higher working pressure. For this model, the parameter specified by HYDRON is 250 bar and it is this value that should be assumed when designing the system.
Connector or adapter?
The HYDRON category indicates that this type of body can be used as a connector or as an adapter, depending on the installation method and the sealing elements used. When used as an adapter, a suitably selected metal-rubber washer (bonded seal) can be used.
The selection of the mounting method should be consistent with the design of the mating port and the requirements of the entire installation.
How to choose an MM BSP 3/4" connector?
Before assembly, it is worth confirming several parameters to avoid errors resulting from the similarity of different thread standards.
- both sides: 3/4" BSP external thread,
- sealing system: 60° cone,
- material: stainless steel 1.4571,
- system pressure: compatible with the connector's permissible pressure,
- working temperature: compatible with the range of the entire system,
- thread compatibility of the mating elements.
Stainless connectors in the HYDRON offer
A separate group of straight stainless connectors is available at HYDRON, including 1/4", 3/8", 1/2", 3/4", and 1" BSP variants. This allows for selecting the appropriate size for a specific installation without sacrificing the stainless steel construction.
The full range of connections can also be found in the category hydraulic connectors, where solutions with BSP, metric, JIC/UNF, ORFS, and other standards used in power hydraulics are available.

Frequently Asked Questions
What threads does the connector have?
There are identical 3/4" BSP external threads on both sides.
Is this a reducing connector?
No. Both connections have the same 3/4" BSP size.
What material is the body made of?
The connector is made of 1.4571 stainless steel, corresponding to AISI 316Ti.
What is the permissible working pressure?
The current HYDRON product sheet specifies a working pressure of 250 bar.
Which cone was used?
The connection utilizes a 60° sealing cone.
What is the actual diameter of the 3/4" BSP thread?
For the external thread, the datasheet states approx. 26,1-26,4 mm.
