What is a BSP 3/8" straight connector?

The BSP 3/8" straight connector is a high-quality hydraulic component designed for connecting hoses and components in hydraulic systems. Thanks to the precise BSP (British Standard Pipe) thread, it ensures a tight and durable connection, which is crucial for the proper operation of the hydraulic installation. The connector is made of high-strength steel, guaranteeing resistance to high pressures and a long service life. The standard BSP 3/8" thread allows compatibility with a wide range of hydraulic components. After using a bonded seal (metal-rubber washer), the connector can serve as an adapter, which increases its versatility and application possibilities in various hydraulic systems.

Nipple 3/8 to 3/8 same thread on both sides

In the case of components such as the BSP 3/8 straight connector, it is very important to clearly define the thread design. This model is a classic 3/8 to 3/8 nipple, which means that it has identical external BSP threads of the same diameter on both sides.

In practice, this means that:

on both sides there is 3/8” BSP thread (inch)
there is no reduction or change in the flow diameter
the component is used for simple, axial connection of two components with the same internal thread
